service, Audio- Visual aids viz CD-ROM, Electronic Document Delivery
Service, Information Products etc.
Automation :
All Libraries are well networked and operations of the libraries are
automated with integrated library software system. The database of the
entire collection is available to users through Online Public Access
Catalogue (OPAC). Users can quickly search the information from the
database – that matches their specific subject interests and retrieve
the document from the stack.

Library is a member of Indian National Digital Library in Engineering
Science and Technology (INDEST) H.Q- IIT Delhi and has been subscribing
journals of International repute of the following publishers-

Digital Library
A digital library has been developed to keep pace with the emerging
needs of knowledge management. The digital library of the institute
comprehensively collects, manages and preserves the content of the
teachings and learning materials for long terms usages and offers to its
users communities through LAN/WAN.
Availability of NPTEL
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a
project of seven IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have
worked together and develop web and video based learning material for
basic undergraduate science and engineering courses. The objective of
NPTEL is to make high quality learning material available to students of
institute.

Text Book Loan Scheme (TBLS)
Besides the regular facility of library, the objective of TBL scheme is
to provide semester wise regular assistance of standard and recommended
text books of all subjects to the students on payment basis.

Computer Centre is a very
important component in the
infrastructure of an
academic institution. It
plays a key role in the
overall development of a
student of that institution.

work managed by our System
Administrator.

COMPUTING FACILITIES:
Centralized Server Room :
We have a set of 5 Xeon
servers of IBM X3650 M3 Dual
processor Rack Server, HP
Proliant ML150 and ML110.
Computer lab, which has over
216 Pentium Dual Core
machines with latest
software tools, fully
net-live (with some sites
firewalled).
Computer Labs are well
networked and backed by
hi-tech Online UPS and is
managed by highly dedicated
technical staff under the
supervision of System
Administrator.
A dedicated leased line
connection of 10 Mbps has
been installed to offer high
speed internet access on all
the machines in the campus.
Wireless setup has been
installed to offer high
speed 24x7 internet access.
An open learning atmosphere
is promoted through the use
of a fully wi-fi enabled
setup across the campus. It
also helps to maintain a
wire free campus and access
to secure internet to the
students as well as the
faculty.
Firewall is used to block
unauthorized access while
permitting authorized
communications. It is
configured to permit or deny
network transmissions based
upon a set of rules and
other criteria.
Printing Facility also
available for students and
faculty members.
